Texas Newborn Screening

In 2026, I had the pleasure of teaming up with the Swng Productions team on this animation for Texas DSHS. The video aimed to educate and reassure new parents about the newborn screening services their babies will receive. I had full creative freedom and worked on the project from initial storyboarding through final design and animation.

Design

The brief was to incorporate a warm Texas colour palette. While the environment needed to feel realistic for most of the video, the aim was to make it warm and approachable, not too clinical. The character design needed to be relatable and friendly.
