I was brought on board by the lovely team at Outernet to work as a character animator on their project for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. An immersive experience called Big Build Adventure, to help raise money for a new children’s cancer centre. I worked alongside the super talented Ryan Brotherston to bring the characters to life.
Frame by Frame Animation
I animated most of the characters frame by frame in Adobe Animate, which helped keep them loose and gave the animations that hand-drawn charm.
After Effects Animation
We animated some of the characters in After Effects to speed things up! I used the awesome Limber 2 to rig the bear for this scene, and added a mix of effects to keep everything consistent with the frame-by-frame look.
